Nintendo Wii will be sold in early December by digitalbear

The Wii is a great system. With the new advances in technology, this is the most advanced gaming system at this time. The impression on most people's minds is that the Xbox 360 was the best. I guess these people never saw the Wii. The worst problem today with kids is the risk of obesity, and that problem is only around because of poor diet and little exercise. Most kids today are so obsessed with video games they are neglecting exercise. The Wii is the first system to fix that problem, because you are not sitting around, you are up and about playing your game. The Wii fixes the exercise problem, and it is up to parents to fix the diet problem.

The Wii system is a very good system for any serious gamer. This system allows you to be active while you play your game. Most parents do not like video games for two reasons, the strain on the eyes and the laziness it encourages in participants. This game can take away the laziness, but as for the strain, try to take some breaks in between playing. Now I am not saying you have to take breaks. Just read the health and safety manual and it will tell you whether to take breaks or not. Also for your safety and your TV's safety, I suggest you use your wrist strap. This is my advice to you whether you are an experienced Wii gamer or a new one. Just remember to be play carefully and with safety.

Mii Channel

The Mii channel is a great program included on the Wii that allows you to custom make an avatar to represent your facial features. I was shocked to learn that this program came with my new system. When I first turned on my Wii, I was exploring it when I discovered this program. I soon discovered that when you use the Wii sports and other games, your Mii is representing your character. This is a new and exciting way to play a game. I mean actually playing with a character or avatar that actually looks like you it is amazing. In addition, I am sure that Wii sports is not the only game that your Mii figure appears in, there must be other games too. There is one thing I ask of you. If you own a Wii and have not even thought about using the Mii channel, or have thought about it and regretted not using it yet, then the next time you turn on your Wii use your Mii Channel. Remember that if you ever think that it is not worth buying, it is definitely worth it! I love mine and I know you will love yours. The one thing that I do not regret at all is buying my Wii and I'm sure you will too. So every time you play with your Mii channel remember your having fun that other people may never have the experience of having.

Barbecue Covers

Propane Gas Grill

BLT Steak is calling this “The Barbeque of all Barbeque” in the middle of Fall and I’m guessing all the way through winter season.

For starters, people are led to the BLT Patio where you can grab two kinds of meat of your choice. Burger lovers could have the Grilled 8 oz CAB Burger. It’s a Lemon Rosemary Chicken for chicken lovers. There are more choices for ribs/brisket enthusiasts with Smoked Baby Back Ribs, Charred Marinated Smoked Baby Back Ribs, and BBQ Braised CAB Beef Brisket.

You can’t have a complete meal without sides which consists of Potato Salad with Bacon and Watercress, Grilled Corn on the Cob, and Ginger Marinated Tomatoes. A huge selection of desserts awaits your palate. Let’s hope you have more room for either Peach Cobbler with Butterscotch Ice Cream, Blueberry Pie with Lemon Verbena Ice Cream, and Classic Strawberry Sundae.

Now if that doesn’t whet your appetite for summer barbeque I don’t know what would.

BLT Steak is located in 8720 Sunset Blvd (West of La Cienaga), West Hollywood. There are other locations is major cities but I’m not sure if they are also doing the strong>Thursday Night Cookout on the Patio at BLT STEAK. Visit the BLT Steak website to find out.

Enjoy the nice weather with picnics, because soon winter will set in and you will miss the sunny days and barbeque opportunities. We aren't always prepared for a nice grilling experience, but sometimes you are presented with a chance when you are least expecting it. For times like these, you can rely on the Pizzoni transformable grill. It comes in an easy to carry aluminium case and in a few simple steps, you can set up the entire grill. You don't even need a man to do it, it's that easy. The best part is that it features a sealed charcoal tray, which enables convenient dismantling of the grill without any interruptions derived from cleaning issues after use, making sure you have a relaxed experience. So all in all, this grill is more than handy. But if you want a more fun grill to rock your party, then try the Gastar miGrill Tabletop Gas Grill which comes with built in speakers.

Blockbuster Haul, Day 1 by slimgatsby

Ever since Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was released in the United States in September of 1998, there's always been something literary for the younger generation to anticipate reading. But with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow's publication on July 21, 2007, the saga of Harry Potter has unofficially come to an end.

J.K. Rowling hasn't committed to anything more than an upcoming lexicon of the Harry Potter world. And in a recent interview, J.K. has revealed more about what occurs with Harry after the events in Book 7. There's not much mystery left to be explored within the Harry Potter universe if one chooses to read her comments.

So what's the Harry Potter reader going to read now? Perhaps they don't actually enjoy reading for reading's sake (which many surveys and studies have proven to be true with some Harry Potter readers). Adult books might not grip them in the same way just yet. A Harry Potter reader would probably want something similar to read.

Fortunately, there are several excellent books and series that have been published both before and concurrently with Harry Potter. Some of them even share the same themes albeit their structure and settings are different. Perhaps somebody enjoyed that Harry and his friends were boarding at school.

We have an outstanding English writer, P.G. Wodehouse who wrote several short stories about English boarding school. Several of those short stories have been collected in one volume, called 'Tales of St. Austin's'. And if the reader enjoys Wodehouse's style of writing, they can move on to one of several other works of his. Wodehouse was a profilic writer and is best known for his Jeeves series.

If Wodehouse doesn't strike the reader's fancy, another suggestion would be the Great Brain series by John Dennis Fitzgerald. The Great Brain is set in the last decade prior to the 20th century and focuses on topics different from Harry Potter. But they both share that essential “readability” that brings the reader back to finish out the series. I could even go as far as describing the Great Brain as the “Western Harry Potter” that's been targeted at younger kids.

If the fantasy world of Harry Potter is what drew the reader in, there's an entire world of fantasy out there. There are even subgenres within the world of fantasy. Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings trilogy would be considered 'high fantasy' whereas Piers Anthony's Xanth series is entirely different from the serious notes in Tolkien's masterpieces.

The world of Xanth is very similar to the world of Harry Potter, but much different in a few ways. Both are magical fantasy worlds, although Harry Potter is set within the real world. Xanth is set inside its own magical fantasy land that travels through the ages and attaches itself to the 'real world' at various points in time. In Harry Potter terms, with Xanth being the wizarding world, you could walk out of Diagon Alley into the 18th century, the 20th century, or even the 9th century.

Even better is that Xanth has installments in the double digits. There were well above 30 books in the series at last count. That should provide enough fodder for anybody for quite some time if you enjoy the series. Of course, there are always new characters and you don't always get the coming of age tale that you do with Harry, but that's a different topic.

Xanth is also somewhat similar to Harry Potter in that it's humorous at times (if not most of the time). It's a very pun-centric fantasy world and its fantasy world actually depends on puns. Odd traditions also persist within the universe of Xanth as it does within the wizarding world of Harry Potter.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the outstanding “Wizardy Series” by Diane Duane. I read these when I was a kid, before Harry Potter was even anywhere near publication and they've stood the test of time. In fact, several people claim that the Wizardy Series is actually better than the Harry Potter series. They both share similar themes and this is an excellent series to pick up on after you finish the Deathly Hallows.

Now, there are several other books and series from J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy to Ursula K. Le Guin's Earthsea Cycle, but we won't go into any more depth about other reading options that are available to you today.

Rather, I'd like to leave you with a book that has the potential to start a new Pottermania phenomenon. However, the odds for replicating part of Pottermania are extremely low. But “Tunnels Book 1″ by Roderick Gordon is slated to be published on January 1, 2008. Will Pottermania strike again in the New Year? Who knows… although Amazon has already deeply discounted its preorders for Tunnels.

Tunnels has a 14-year old protagonist with a dysfunctional family. Sound familiar yet? The only thing the protagonist and his family have in common is archaeology. When his father disappears, he goes searching for him and discovers an underground society that's been forgotten by the world.

I don't know about you but that sounds like a winner to me!

Ski Insurance - Don't Leave Home Without It

By Ron King

Ski insurance is a necessity for the skiing enthusiast. For many, the ideal vacation is spent surrounded by cold, snow covered mountains, doing the “James Bond” thing. And in so doing, one should not forget the importance of insurance.

It may seem an obvious decision to those who have taken to slopes more than once before. However, for those fun loving individuals who are about to embark on their first skiing trip it may not be so obvious, and they will likely question the necessity of it; as well as the cost. They may have visions of a fantastic kind of “winter wonderland” and, indeed this is usually the case. As with most things, however, the environment can be both friend and foe. So it is the wise person who will put ski insurance onto the list of necessities. Along with a set of skis, of course!

In spite of skiing being an enjoyable popular sport for many, adults and children alike, it can be a dangerous venture. Regardless of whether you are a professional skier, an individual enthusiast, or a family of skiing fanatics, it is advisable to take out ski insurance. What exactly are the attributes of a sound ski insurance policy and what should you be looking for?

One of the most important aspects to check is whether the policy provides coverage for rescue and repatriation endeavors on the mountain. If it does not, that night you planned in the mountains with your pick axe and sleeping bag should be well left alone. Any basic ski insurance should cover treatment and recovery relative to any accident which might occur while taking part in all the typical mountain skiing activities.

There are many different types of insurance policies available, covering all kinds of winter sports, not just skiing. However, such policies can be both expensive and subject to intense technical pre-requisites with respect to the particular accident environment. To be more specific, such policies have a lot of conditions to be met before the policy can be validated.

One of the most frequently encountered scenarios causing much winter sports insurance debate is the location. Most ski insurance companies only provide insurance coverage provided that the skiing, or other winter sport, occurs in an authorized area. This means that most policies do not cover individuals who ski everywhere and anywhere it is possible to ski. This is why it is so important to know the full terms and conditions of your insurance policy. Don't presume a popular policy will cover you on those dangerous mountain slopes, because chances are it won't.

Of course, we can all be a little guilty of making highly adventurous (and partially suicidal) decisions while in pursuit of the adrenaline rush. Even so, don't expect the insurance company to be sympathetic to the fact!

Travel Fishing Rods - Be Ready All the Time

By Ron King

For a keen fisherman, travel fishing rods become a fairly essential piece of equipment. They are perfect to carry around for that camping vacation, weekend away on the coast, or impromptu day off.

Good travel rods are compact, yet do not sacrifice quality or functionality. There are many types of rods available designed especially for travelling. Most offer all the same important features as their regular versions. You just need to have a look around, and know what you are looking for! Easy… right? Most of the time, yes!

You are are candidate for a travel rod if:

- You are someone who enjoys fly fishing as a pastime
- You know someone who would appreciate the advantages of having a travel fishing rod
- You are looking to buy someone a great 'fishing gift'.

Bottom line, all travel fishing rods are a tool used to catch fish. In most instances the pieces are collapsible, requiring assembly before use. Among the most commonly used rods are: Trailing; Telescopic; Fiber; Tenkara; Spin and Bait Casting; Spinning; Ultra-light; and Ice, Sea and Surf Rods.

It is important to purchase a fishing rod best suited to the requirements. In general, picking out a good fishing rod will depend on the required resistance to breaking. Plus its overall performance with regards to angling and casting. Of all the things to consider, the most important one is, without a doubt, ensuring the rod you buy is right for the type of fishing to be done.

Travel rods come in various sizes and designs, which is why it is so important to know the type of fishing to be done. A fly fishing travel rod, for example, is not suitable when it comes to handling big fish. For that kind of expedition, a Trolling Rod or Surf Rod are best. This generally is the case when targeting medium to large sized fish.

Travel rods typically come in exploded designs of four to seven pieces. Plus they have also recently benefited from technology. Well, what hasn't these days? One can now get very precise handling specifications.

Another thing you should know is that most quality travel fishing rods also come with a case. That is important because it makes life a whole lot easier when you are out and about. So, don't just grab a few sticks in a bag! Purchase a good quality travel rod and you'll always be prepared to hook up with some hot fishing action.

A Coin Collector's Guide to the $2 Bill

When we go shopping many of us pay for our goods by cash as opposed to a credit card. We are well aware of the different types of money that we see regularly. However, there is one type of bill that is hardly ever seen. It is the 2 dollar bill and because it is rarely used or seen it has almost attained folklore status.

These urban legends have all inspired the myth that this bill is not what you would consider real currency. For this reason when people see a 2 buck bill they will either think it's fake or they will decide that it is so rare that they need to own it!

You may never see a 2 dollar note in your lifetime but there are some in circulation. It follows then that this bill has become a collectors item for amateur collectors and pros alike. As more bills are secured in peoples collections they start to disappear from public sight. Only when there is a real shortage of bills will the Federal Money Reserve print a new batch.

It's simple supply and demand: because there are few people using these dollar bills there is no need to produce large amounts of them. This being the case, the number of $2 bills that you can find in a particular area is very small.

You'll find that since this bill is not generally thought of as being part of the monetary system its value to collectors goes up. There is also another problem that you might come across when you try to use a $2 bill. Very few people are aware of the existence of these bills and so if you try to use one, the recipient may think that you are trying to con them!

There are of course those who maintain that you are using fake money. But they are wrong. Therefore if you do find a 2 dollar bill you might want to hold on to it and place it in your collection!

To learn more about coin and currency collecting this coin collectors guide will help you become an expert in your field. Along with the book you also get an audio book which you can play on your computer or even your mp3 player. Essential information for all coin collectors…

Basic Fishing Supplies

Just about everyone has longed to try their hand at fishing at one time or another. But like many outdoor activities, knowing what provisions to purchase can be difficult. Tackle, lures, knots–the learning curve for a beginning fisherman or woman is a steep one!

This article will review a few of the basic fishing supply and fish tackle you'll need before you head to your favorite waterway.

There are lots of fishing stores around, but a lot of them might try to sell unnecessary fishing supply to gain a little profit from the fishing novice. Here is a description of some of the fishing tackle you need for any kind of fishing in any location.

Hooks. When it comes to basic fishing supplies, next to the fishing pole, the most essential tools are your hooks. In many shape and sizes, the proper hook is one of the most important parts of your fishing gear. Fishing hooks are affordable, so you can stock a variety of hooks for each kind of fishing. Most hooks are shaped like a letter “J.”

Rigs. These are utilized for catching different kinds and species of fish. The two most common rigs are the Bobber and Crappie. Bobber rigs are used for catching Bluegills and are suitable for beginners.

Sinkers. As the name suggests, sinkers are used to cast lighter lures and to quickly drop the bait to the bottom of the water where fish are living. Together with the bobbers, the sinkers are used to maintain your line at a defined point. In angling stores, you will discover a lot of variations of sinkers that come in various sizes, weights, and shapes. The current speed and the water depth decides the weight of the sinkers you'll need for your fishing trip.

Bobber. It is also called a cork or a float. The bobber’s purpose is to tell you when a fish bites your bait. The standard bobbers are pencil, slip bobbers and buttons. They are found in different sizes to fit all kinds of baits and sinkers. The best bobbers are those that are smaller. The current of air will blow the bobber back to you if it is too light and will alarm the fish off when it's too big.

Swivels. This kind of fishing equipment is used when you are angling with bait such as a spinner or a minnow. This kind of bait may twist and turn, which can leave your line twisted. By using the swivel and tying it between your line and bait, it allows the lure to spin around without snarling up the line. Swivels are affordable and are available in different sizes to accommodate the bait and hooks you use.

Other necessary supplies to purchase include a tackle box to hold your gear and your bait. The bait would vary depending on the style of fishing you are engaging in. Remember that getting basic fishing supplies and fish tackle are only the beginning. Having the correct equipment for the correct location is critical, but knowing the art of catching fish is the key to the sport. Always hang out with the locals at the lake, river or dock for ideas on what works for them.
